In 2004 Tatarstan attracted more than 7 billion roubles for development of consumer market

In 2004, Tatarstan attracted from different sources more than 7 billion roubles of investments in development of objects of consumer market, RT Deputy minister of trade and external economic cooperation Ilgiz Dautov informed at the meeting session "Consumer market " Union of Russian cities opened today in Kazan.

As he said, last year it was invsted almost 6,5 billion roubles in construction, repair and reconstruction of objects of trade, public catering and consumer services of Kazan. Of them 17 percent make foreign investments, 15 percent - investments of the companies from other regions of Russian Federation, 67 percent - means of local businessmen. The largest investors among them : Swedish IKEA, German "Metro", "Ramenka", "Paterson" . In total, last year 79 restaurants and cafes, 34 service enterprises, 271 shops commissioned, and presently more 100 objects are under construction.
