1767 26 May – empress Ekaterina II arrived on a “Tver” galley to Kazan.
1770 – two madrasahs, Akhun and Apanaj were opened.

1791 – first Russian public theatre was constructed.
1797 – beginning of Kazan seminary.
1798 24 May – emperor Pavel I came to Kazan.
