S.Saidashev State Great Concert Hall of the RT

The building of the Concert Hall was erected in 1996 on the territory of the former conservatory Assembly hall. It was projected by designer V.Abramov and architects V.Loginov and E.Prokofjev. In 2000 the authors of the project were conferred the State Reward of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and arts. For the interior design there were used decorative compositions of metal by sculptor I.Bashmakov as well as the busts of the great composers by V.Rogozhin.

The concert complex consists of 3 halls: a large one with 700 seats, a chamber hall with 70 seats, and a spacious rehearsal hall. The central object of the Concert Hall is the large concert organ – the instrument with a pronounced style direction, produced by the Dutch company "FLÅNÒROÐ". The potential of the instrument and the hall enable organization of music festivals and contests on the highest level: yearly this hall receives International Festival of Modern Music “Europe-Asia”, International Festival of Organ Music, International Festival “Pianoforum” and many others. The performances of Russian National Orchestra, Vladimir Spivakov’s orchestra “Moscow Virtuosos” and Sofia Gubaidullina Music Festival became the main events in the music life of the Republic.
