Between Tatarstan and Korea there is a full mutual understanding in development of bilateral cooperation. Such a statement made today, making comments on course of negotiations with RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnekhanov and First Deputy Prime Minister Ravil Muratov, the head of the Korean business delegation, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Republic Korea to Russian Federation Dzhe Sob Kim.
Korea belongs to number of the most perspective partners of Tatarstan. This was stated by RT Minister of trade and external economic cooperation Hafiz Salikhov while representing economic and investment potential of the republic to business - delegation from this country

By his words economic links between the partners already for a long time show an example of business mutually relations. Just on results of the first half-year the foreign trade turnover of the republic with this state has exceeded 10 million dollars,-the head of Ministry of trade emphasized. Such Tatarstan enterprises as JSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" "KAMAZ","Kazan Helicopters", Gorky Zelenodolsky plant are represented most successfully at the Korean market he considers. They are delivering optical devices, plastic, mechanical equipment, products of ferrous metals, trucks and many other goods. But rubbers produced in Tatarstan hold the greatest weight in structure of export ( 98-99 percent). As to import the minister noted, it is presented basically by compands of organic chemistry, mechanical and electric equipment, optical devices, electronics, automobiles. For example, in August of this year the company "Hyundai Motors Company" transferred to Government RT 80 comfortable buses for servicing the guests of 1000-years Kazan

Meanwhile the head of RT Trade Ministry considers, that the potential of cooperation with this advanced country in the south of the Korean peninsula is used in very small extent. In his opinion, Korea should take an especial place in relations with Tatarstan but while occupies only 24 position among the largest trading partners. The republic, he believes, expects for attraction of investments and new technologies in development of petrochemistry and oil refining, implementation of other major projects.

In his turn, minister on economic issues of Embassy of Korea to the Russian Federation Ben Hva noted, that Tatarstan possesses an impressing industrial potential which could be useful in mutually advantageous and complementary cooperation. The diplomat regreted that volume of trade between his country and the republic is not so significant. Meanwhile a growing attention to this Russian region on the part of old partners, as he said, speaks already that fact, that representatives of 20 major Korean companies take part in presentation of economic opportunities of Tatarstan.
